Meeting Teachers’ Global Education Needs: Strategies and Supports

The Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) and Street Kids International will give an overarching framework for the practical integration of global education into the Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum. This two-day workshop will use a variety of methodologies and activities to demonstrate how constructive partnerships with international development organizations can actively engage students with global issues. Teachers will be supported in developing a strategy for integrating global education into their classrooms.

Teachers will leave the workshop prepared to build and integrate global education programs into their classrooms. In addition, teachers will be able to recreate this training model to train other teachers.
